Ok, regarding this prior thread:

I get an email from SunRocket telling me that I got two options that will give me a discount: either Packet8 or Teleblend
anyone using either of them now? likes? dislikes?
BTW, I love this last line:

Please make your decision to move
to a new service provides immediately as future service is uncertain.

Nathan, I've been using Packet8 on Roadrunner since my move in December. I live in the Austin area. It pretty much works as advertised. No real issues. I had to use customer service once and only spent about 5 minutes on the phone. It is different than a land line. I hear a small bit of static during calls but it doesn't bother me much. I also notice that the static goes up if I try to use the phone while downloading a file.

thanks, Jim, that was what I was hoping. I still have a POTS line and will keep it, but this was a cheaper option. I'll give them a try since they are giving the free shipping and free month
