Discovery HD is amazing, but the regular channel is great too. I'm not addicted, but it's definitely on my favorite channels list.

Miami Ink, Planet Earth, Deadliest Catch, etc. If we watch TV, it's usually on TLC or Discovery.

the Planet Earth series in HD was simply amazing. Such awesome work, I'm sad it was so short.

I cannot wait for Shark Week, my daughter and I love to watch all the great documentaries on sharks over the course of the week. This year we get to do it in HD.

I think I prefer Food Network to Discovery though, I'm hoping that Comcast picks up the HD version soon

Man vs Wild sometimes makes you wonder whether the entire adventure isn't planned. Survivorman is real and raw. I respect him more.

wow, i really don't get that from Man vs. Wild, survivorman is so much more cheesy to me, but it is still a good show. I myself am hooked on Man vs. Wild, Dirty Jobs, How it's made, Mythbusters, Future Weapons, and Deadliest Catch...

I've been a discovery nut since I got cable 20 years ago. Extreme Engineering and Future Weapons have gotta be my two regular show favs. I've worked on a several of the projects shown on future weapons. I don't think anything on TV comes close to shark week...hol up, let me rethink that......nah, my statement stands. I hate that the the Wild Discovery shows aren't on as much anymore.

there is quite a bit of controversy right now about Bear Grylls (however it's spelled) and whether or not the stuff he's doing is real. There's some statements that he often stays in hotels with the shooting crew, that some of the things he builds he didn't really do etc etc. I don't watch the show so I haven't followed it really just heard about it. I guess he's like the youngest man in the world to climb Everest or something, so you gotta at least respect the man for that.
