Finding models on Myspace

Okay, I know that some here find a lot of models on myspace or they find pretty girls who want to be photographed (Tracy!). What I am trying to figure out is whether you track them down or they track you down? How do you find them? And finally, how do you approach them? I have no problem with M.M., OMP, Supermodels, etc because that is what the sites are for. Myspace is different and I'm not sure how to approach the subject without an automatic GWC image popping into their head since it is Myspace!

Post your best images. Set up your site as a photographer. Troll other photographers friends lists. Post nice comments about them, then run, because you'll have every 16+ year old after you for free photographs.

I've about givin up on MySpace. I thought I had found a couple and they stopped talking. I've sent messages to several that say they are interested in modeling and they either never reply or they reply saying they are interested and then bail out. I am beginning to wander if the majority of the women on there put modeling just to impress their friends and don't really care about doing it.

tried getting a myspace page started and every email that i have to my name has been called bogus and will not let me sign up. guess one of these days i need to call them in order to get page going.

You may have some luck but most likely a bunch of flakes, watch out for spammers also who will try to get info out of you. (had one spammer use the same photo trying to get 6 different girls names to join my page-refused the sextuplets).

I've had a regular myspace page for a while and guess I should open up a photographic specific one with cross reference from my other older account, might as well do it now while I have some extra time.

I would think that you would have better luck with Model Mayhem et al or even maybe once school is back putting a small ad in the High School or Local College Papers (try to not sound like a perv).
