A friend of mine in Fort Worth is a finalist in a NASCAR paint scheme design contest. It would mean a great deal to him and his family to win this contest. Please login to the contest and vote for his design if you have an extra 30 seconds and are so inclined. See his e-mail below:

Dear family and friends!!!!

Well, there's no livin' with me now!!! I decided to enter a contest to design a paint scheme for Ryan Newman's #12 Kodak car for the upcoming Busch race in California. Kodak narrowed down the designs to five finalists from several entries. Low and behold, I logged in tonight at the decision deadline and my design was chosen as one of the top five finalists!!!!!!! Needless to say, I won't sleep tonight and I'm incredibly excited and lucky to get to this point!!!!

Here's where I get to ask for your help. IF you can, I would really appreciate some votes. Go to www.thinklikeryan.com and follow the instructions for voting on the five finalist designs. At the left side of the main screen, there is a tab that says "Vote Now". My design is called "thINK:POSITIVE". It is the car with the all red roof, black trunk lid and is mostly Kodak yellow. When you pick on my car, my name and info will appear at the top of the screen.

The votes can be cast once a day for seven days. I won't ask you to vote that many times if you don't want to, but I DO want you all to know how much I appreciate any support you can lend me!! I am incredibly excited to even make it to this point and the thought of having one of my designs on a NASCAR Busch car is unbelievable.

If you have any friends that are NASCAR fans or just like voting for stuff (hee hee), spread the word! Just let them know they'd be making a dream come true for me. :)

As I hate e-mails that ask for forwarding for luck or any other chain mail, please know I really do thank you for your support in this. It's a HUGE shot in my arm as I continue to pursue more and more of a career in graphics design.

Thanks guys...much appreciated. I'm not into NASCAR but he lives and breathes it. I guess its worth 30 seconds to help make someone's dream come true.

I really liked Jeff's design the most. He got my vote. I think he also stands a good chance, since his colors are dead-on Kodak colors, and if Kodak is the main sponsor, that should mean something, right?

Chris, I saw your post. I've been shooting my ass off and doing an IT consulting project. BIZEE. I saw your post and would love to get out for some non-work shooting but I have to attend a dinner party tomorrow night per my significant other. Hope to catch you guys for another shoot soon.
