adobe serial number question - 08-06-2007, 11:18 AM

I was wondering if for instance I bought Lightroom for Windows out of necessity and I bought a mac sometime within the next 4-5 months could I just download the free trial for mac and use the same serial number for the Windows version of the software after I uninstalled in from my PC or would I have to buy a whole new copy.

Thanks,
Daniel

Yes, the LR license is cross-platform. They had a lot of people wanting to install on two different platforms (i.e. Windows desktop, but Macbook when traveling).

As said it works on LR but not (at least currently) on PS. I think you'll see many more software companies going this way though. It just makes sense with the Intel Mac and so many photographers and graphic artists using both platforms.

Currently the only Adobe product that's licensed cross-platform (that I'm aware of) is LR.
