Anyone here ever gone? It's in Tampa, FL this time around (January 6-8th i believe) and I'm strongly considering it.

I went this past year, and I actually didn't like it all that much. But, it really depends on who is speaking and what your specialty is. I had gone the previous year to the cfpa conference. (http://www.cfpamerica.com/) I liked the length of the classes at the cfpa one, but overall, it is MUCH smaller. Seeing all the vendors at Imaging was cool. But, from my experience, I personally wouldn't travel to Tampa for it.

I have been to a dozen or so National conventions over the last thirty years. They are usually pretty good especially if you are just getting started in the business. None of the programs go into great detail due to time constraints, but the information they are able to give in an abbreviated program is usually top notch. We have been spoiled by having the last two in Texas. Since I am on PPA Council, I have committed to going to Tampa in 2008 and to Nashville in 2009. If you are really looking for a sweet deal join TPPA for $85.00 and you will get TWO FREE conventions next year in Arlington TX. One in the spring and another in the fall.

I would not only go to Imaging USA but also attend to the Pre-con programs.

This year I went to Imaging in San Antonio and it was my first time attending. I had a blast!!! Imaging gave me so many ideas how to improve my business. There is a good chance that my wife and I will be attending Imaging next year.

well so far that sounds great!

I'm just starting my business (1-2 years) so it sounds like a great opportunity. Plus I love to travel so I think i'll have a good time :)

Does anyone know if the pre-con stuff is included in the price? From what I saw on the website it seems like some of them are extra (i think it was like team photography or something, so thats not a big deal for me), but the rest aren't any extra charge. just curious about that. I'll be going to the portrait/wedding scheduling most likely.

If there's no price tag under the program, then they are included.

I went to Imaging in San Antonio. I enjoyed myself and I would do it again.

With the way the weather works these days?? I would take a jacket

Of course I DIDN'T take a jacket to Imaging last year and I had to park out near Boerne so the walk was always "brisk"
