Mine preferred the Oscar Mayer wiener song and The Frito Bandito... not sure where they got the lyrics from

We went on vacation last week and it was the easiest trip that we've ever had! I couldn't believe we were in the car 6 hours for 2 different days and they didn't ask. Of course, they are a little older and we've gotten to where we give them a time we'll be there and then they can just look at the clock. Since they are at that "what can I do for money stage" I wanted to start the trip with $20 and every time they ask, take away a dollar, lol. I decided that would be harsh punishment though but I guarantee you, it would've only taken 1 dollar for them to lose in order to never ask again!

We have been pretty lucky with the DVD player. They stopped singing songs like the Oscar Mayer Weiner song, now their favorite song is Stacy's Mom???? Not sure where they heard it but they know the words way too well!

In the 60's we would drive to Boston and my dad would make a list of things to find, from easy to difficult, and give nickels dimes and quarters as appropriate. This was our vacation spending money. It's fun being creative thinking of things to look for.

When my children were growing up we would play assorted dictionary type games, for example: think of something animal, vegatable, mineral, movie, TV show etc...
someone makes a guess and you tell them if their word is before or after your word in the dictionary. See how many guesses it takes.
