Remove six zeros beginning at the right, and I would get one.

Well . . . it does say that you don't have to make any payments until 2008.

And I did.

I would spend $199-250, not a penny more.

If it were available on another network, at a reasonable price, (in the neighborhood of the Treo Palm) I would try one out. But for 600.00 and AT & T Service? NOT!

There is a story about guy this in this mornings Ft. W. Startle Gram.
He claims to be the first to crack the unlock code.

actually one person has unlocked it through hardware, and one company has managed to software unlock it, with promises a second is almost there as well. So an unlocked iphone is now possible. But i still wouldn't pay more than 250 for it. Engadgetmobile is always on top of the latest news and was able to get one software unlocked to use on t-mobile.
http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2007/0...lock-is-legit/

There's more info if you click the read link and go to the main engadget page. I still haven't gotten my hands on one yet to see what it's really like, anyone have one they'd like to show me?

I love how you can only get about a years recharges out of it and then you have to send it back in to mac to have the battery replaced. 80 bucks a year.

At the price it retails at right now anywhere, no way. That can go to a new lens or body or a good tripod!

Remove 7 zeros anywhere in that figure from the original poster and I'd buy one.

I buy a cellphone to make calls. Everyone else seems to buy it to CHECK EMAIL, STORE PICTURES, TAKE PICTURES, LISTEN TO MUSIC, PLAY GAMES, DETECT RADIOACTIVE PARTICLES, DETERMIN MOON PHASES etc. Cell phones can do all of this, but none of them well. People buy phones to do anything but take calls. I don't even own a cellphone and haven't found the need for one yet. Although lately I've been considering....

I'm 22. I should be all over this TXTing craze! Not sure what went wrong with me.

Well my camera is equipped with a 1000 megasquirtle light sensitive array with a megakilo double widget interface and a pseudo-terrafilter. its got 2 million hexafurtles with a 10 kiloplex and a rechargeable virtual combo-backplate. i also fitted an optical fillyfangle with predictive threshold histogram monitoring. it also has a light sensitive light meter and a time sensitive shutter mechanism.

Just so everyone knows -- the guy on this ebay auction is supposedly one of the ones that unlocked the phone with the hardware hack, and that is what he is selling, an unlocked iphone that can be used with any network that has sim cards.

Nevermind -- I'll take care of it myself!

Yeah. Here is his blog. http://iphonejtag.blogspot.com/

Latest news: An unlocked iPhone traded for a Nissan 350Z and 3 8GB iPhones..... Pretty sweet deal for the kid. But still..... am I the only one that thinks paying anything more than retail value(which is still high to me) is rediculous?
