File conversion question

Since we really don't have a forum for technical questions I thought I'd throw this question out here....

Is there a way to convert a jpeg to a vector file format?

Jpegs don't have any vector information in them. You can try opening one into a vector art program, like Illustrator and it might have a feature that attempts to trace any "edges" it finds and make vectors out of them, but I doubt such a thing would be very effective if it even exists. Otherwise, your best bet is to do what I have done in the past: open it and then trace it.
