One of my favorite web forums recently started to place ads within the body of the first original thread and other ads at the bottom of the each page. This site was recently sold to a company that has several car, truck, and motorcycle related websites and we knew it wouldn't be too long before we would be assaulted by new advertisements.

To defend my browsing speed I loaded AdBlocker Plus for Firefox, not only am I not bothered by useless ads but pages load faster too.

If these ads are annoying then use the AdBlocker Plus....

I too use the AdBlock Plus plugin for Firefox. It works pretty well.

Same here... IE7 is better at stopping pop ups and ads than IE6, but firefox is better

I use Camino. I see no ads anywhere, nor do I get popup windows that I don't ask for.
