An Odd Feeling - 09-01-2007, 01:15 PM

Hmmmm...I've been asked to write and e-mail a biography about myself to my stock agency (Rainbow in Santa Fe, Mexico) that I recently have been accepted. This biography is for their newly forming art gallery with the working name Sky Gallery.
The point of all this is that I felt really strange writing this big to do about myself. Has anyone else felt this way, or is this just me being goofy ?

I think your's is a perfectly normal feeling. It's hard for a lot of people to toot their own horn.

It is an odd feeling. I have to do that sometimes when teaching or making presentations - not about photography as this is my escape from those other things - and they want a bio for an introduction.

Just stick to facts - things that you've done, places you've been published, certification or recognition you've been granted. I don't embellish at all but just list factual information. Still feels weird but at least I'm giving them something valid.

I hired someone (a professional writer) to do it for me. Because I see myself differently than others. And they can put it into words that make me sound goooooood!! (not that I am not good, it is just too hard for me to brag on myself)
