“We’re not done yet.” Moving on to the iPhone. When they released the iPhone, they said the iPod on it was the best iPod ever. They’re moving that interface to an iPod, and calling it the iPod Touch (same as the rumor said). Yes, touchscreen iPod is here.

I would totally buy an iPod Touch if it has the larger screen of the iPhone.

I was considering getting an iPhone if only to use it for music, vids, & photos......

Color me unimpressed. When I first caught wind of this on Gizmodo yesterday, I was feeling...well...about like when Nikon announced the D300 shortly after I purchased the D200. But now, I simply feel vindicated! Sure, touch-screen is a sparkly gimmick, but you can still score an archaic, Gen V 30GB video iPod for $250. I'm such a luddite!

i was psyched yesterday knowing pretty much that the ipod touch would be released today. but now that i know its only goes to 16gb for 400 im on the fence. i could get a classic with and extra 100gb and 50 bucks less.... now i got to decide... coolness or storage? what do i need more? COOOLNNEESSS!

my 30gb ipod video just broke and 160gb's sounds good to me right about now.

i think people should hold off on buying the ipod touch until they add more memory.

16gig? pssh.

The folks who are wanting more than 16GB I have a question...

Just how much do you need to carry around with you?

You can't even listen to that much. Go check your playlist counts and tell me what your listening patterns are? I'll bet you could get away with a shuffle for audio and maybe 8GB if you're a movie watcher.

i can and i do. 30 wasn't enough for me and i'm sure 160 wont be either, but at least i'll be able to store more. i listen to music pretty much 24/7.

16g ipod touch... very cool...

i like the fact it has a safari browser builtin and of course the wifi... strictly for internet browsing and such.

the wide screen will be cool for movies and displaying your photo portfolio to friends etc.. or recent photos from vacation etc.
