eyes meet gun almost point blank - 09-07-2007, 08:51 AM

Last night at approximately 10:45 pm, I was looking into the barrel of a gun pointed at my face ...

A couple of young men were robbing a Wal-Mart and I was the first one in the doorway that they met. I was calling my wife about groceries when I heard "Get off the phone, nigga." The second time he said it I turned around and I was looking into the barrell of a small automatic gun. He didn't say anything just looked at me and kept the gun pointed at my face. I put down the phone and walked away ...

Though many people were scared last night, nobody got hurt and not much was stolen. If the young men would have been trigger happy, preparations for my funeral would be in the making this morning.

I am still trying to sort out my feelings about what happened. BUT I do think we take for granted this life that was given to us.

very scary. death is a hard thing to think about. I've always wondered what I would do in that situation.......

You did the right thing. I might have done something stupid.

Glad you are OK, Edd.

My birthday was this past Saturday. My birthday wish was for everyone to hug their loved ones, tell them you love them, forgive them (or ask for forgiveness), and be happy. Now that my mother & grandma are gone, my whole life outlook has changed........

I work just across the street from that walmart (the one on spring valley / 75). I can tell you that it's a scary looking place. In the 9 mos. that I've worked here, luckily I've managed to avoid the place.

I'm glad to hear you're okay.

Same in OKC. Also Grocery stores with banks in them are becoming popular because less they are less likely to have a security guard in them and with all the people in and out its easy to blend in with the crowd.
