Mac Software Question - Spring Cleaning 9.0 - 09-11-2007, 01:03 PM

Mac Users.

Do any of you use Spring Cleaning 9.0 by Smith Micro Software? Here is their blurb about what it does:

"Keep your Mac happy, healthy and fast!
Spring Cleaning is still the safest and easiest way to uninstall outdated or unwanted programs, but now it does so much more! Whether you want to dump the junk, make room on your hard disk, eliminate your web browser's cache and cookies, or enhance the performance of your Mac, Spring Cleaning is your all-in-one cleaning and privacy solution!"

I am guilty of having software or parts of it on my machine because when I want to remove something I don't need, I just send it to Trash. I am not sure if this deletes everything associated to the software.

Thanks.

I have not used Spring Cleaning, but I have used another product called "Cocktail" that does all the things you described and more. You can try it for free here:

I haven't used Spring Cleaning since OS 8.6 or 9. I use AppTrap for removal of apps in the Application Folder. It does a decent job. It's donation-ware.
