You know, I really don't want to go back to the cold war way of doing things with Russia. 50 years of USSR/US hatred is enough for me. I certainly wish the US and Russian gov's could work together. I think from here on out, every civilized nation will have far more to worry about from rogue terrorists, than from each other. Would be nice if we could just get along and battle that nuisance instead of each other.

A thermobaric weapon works by first dispersing a cloud of powder or liquid explosive using a small charge, then igniting it with a second charge....its not "new" and the Russians have a sorbid history of "more is not better"....we defeated them and won the cold war, and we gave up on "saturation" and "area-denial" weapons a long time ago...they just succeeded in creating the worlds largest aerosel mechanism....lol

The Russians are an interesting people....I remember when they bragged about an automatic loader for the 120mm smoothbore gun in their main battle tanks....all it succeeded in doing was loading the loader!!!!....lol....tragic, but rather funny!!!!!

Oh, by the way....these type of weapons have their place because of "theatre rules of engagement"....its hard to pick thru "radioactive" ruins....as atomic weapons will always be somewhat "dirty".......

it kind of makes you wonder what people will think of next, man. if this is the "healthy bombing method".. like what will people think of next? i honestly don't understand why people are working so hard to discover new ways of killing people. i guess things are always "improving," but is that "improving" making things better or worse in the long run? we don't use nukes cos we know of the aftereffects, yet we find a way that is supposedly more environment friendly so that we can bomb whoever and feel less bad for it all...

don't get me wrong.. i'm not for or against war.. there are pros and cons.. there is a time for war and a time to agree.
