Which Scott Kelby for CS3 - 09-15-2007, 08:39 AM

I want to buy one of these two books if not both of them, but I just wanted TPF opinion on these two books. What makes one book better over the other book?

The Adobe Photoshop CS3 Book for Digital Photographers

Since the first one is already published and the second one is not yet out, my bet would be the first one.

Of the two books you listed, the first one is better than the second if you are a novice to using photoshop for processing digital images.

The second is quite specific and will not tell you the basics or even the why of what Scott tells you to do. It simply tells you what to do to achieve certain results.

Your best bet is to go to a Barnes and Noble or other book store that has both books in stock and compare them. Then make your choice.

I have the first book (for CS) and the second also (for CS) and have found them to be quite useful.
