I just ate at a new small chain out of Tennesee called Bar-b-cuties, its here now ! The first one in Texas is 2 miles from my house on Ruffe Snow, NRH. Its awesome! Had a pulled pork on cornbread pancake sandwich today.

but is that flickr pic a Freebird's? It isn't wrapped like one, no one eats it like that and it's far too "loose" to be a Quality Bird (they are wrapped very snuggly)

I agree, tho we don't go there enough. Besides that. Outback, Cheddars and Johnny Carino's is our faves.

No way, dude. Mission Burritos is way better than Freebirds. But, I guess it's not really considered a chain? There's only 2 of 'em.

Dairy Queen has always been my favorite with Whataburger being a very close second. I wish your statement about a DQ in every Texas town was correct. I make regular trips to Boonville, Mo and you can get a Blizzard, Dude, or whatever DQ treat you want there. Don't try to find a Dairy Queen in Marshall, Tx though. Ten years ago we had two of them. Now we have none.

Count me in as another Freebirds vote. I'm a freebirds junkie!

Also I believe Jason's Deli was started in Texas, and there is nothing quite as awesome as being able to have a loaded baked potato delivered to your door when you're not in the mood for pizza.
