Your best pick up line is to look good (you, not the clothes). Go sign up at your local gym. Having a personality doesn't hurt, but there's no gym for that.

....the truth is, nobody knows why or how anything works....it either happens or it doesnt....women call it "chemistry".....us guys call it "getting lucky"....and judging by the number of nice women I know and the number of really bad choices they have made, I get really confused!!!....LMAO

Although none of these lines would really work to get me to give you a number, I would definitely laugh. I agree with the others that lines are not the usual way to go. I probably wouldn't go Russian mail order either! I have however really enjoyed this thread!

Can I take your picture? (Why?) Because I want Santa to know exactly what I want for Chirstmas.

"Can I mount my lens on your body?"
"If I say you have a nice body, will you let me use it?"
"My telephoto is 300mm"
"Baby, you lock my autofocus"

Ok, that's all the stupidity I can muster right now. No, I was never successful in picking up anyone back in the day (~14 years ago).

My favorite pick-up and response was always:

you: "Hi! Would you like to dance?"
her: "No!"
you: "I SAID... YOU LOOK... FAT... IN THOSE PANTS!!!"

Although I never tried it. Felt like it sometimes...

Do some volunteer work, like meals on wheels or at a Retirement home or handicapped kids...get someone to take lots of shots of you with your camera...when your out with your camera ask the said lady you are interested in if you could snap a photo of her...is so do so...ask here if she would like to see...show her and flip quickly to you other pics. strike up a conversation....you should be well off to getting a name and some digits.

I'm really surprised no one has even mentioned the classic:

"Hey, baby, how 'bout we go to my darkroom and see what develops?"

I know we have enough oldschoolers around for that. Did somebody say it and I missed it?
