1) you see a complete stranger going through his pics, and you're critiquing them behind his back..
2) same as a above, but when they say "Awww, this one's cute!" you mumble *cough-blewyourhighlights-cough*
3) You don't trust any pic until you see the histogram (even if you don't really understand what it's telling you... 'pointy in the middle? must be okay...")
4) strangers see YOU doing it somewhere, and you gladly start at the beginning of the series and start showing them...frequently inviting them to sit next to you or you move in next to them...
5) same as above, but you try this in direct sunlight and you and the other person do that Bob Fosse inspired yoga / interpretive dance routine to shield the viewscreen from the sun while still alowing you BOTH to see it...eventually you just bump heads..and after they admit they can't see it, you remark "oh, it's a good one..trust me.."
just off the top of my head - I'm sure you folks have some good ones! I'm still waiting for the "classic" chimp.. when you see the picture and go Ooooooh! Ooooh! and show it to someone and they go Ooooh! Ooooh! too...

just thought of one more -
7) you try to show them the back of the camera, but accidentally push the shutter release button on the battery grip (cause you forgot to lock it) - so the image disappears. You do this back and forth 3-4 times before you figure it out...(usually right before you lose it and yell "Whaddya mean it's dark!?!? "See it? No. See it? No..."

How about the row of shooters in the press pit, all looking at their images after "something" happens...They turn to each other and say "I got it...Did you get it?" "Yah, I got it...See?" "Yah, but I got it from a better angle" (three feet away from the other guys)

When the opportunity arises, you don't use chimping as a way to flirt, you're too interested in the pictures. | | | |

You're a Chimper when you get frustrated because the LCD won't let you view at 5 fps even though the camera shoots that fast | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
