Glad my Dell arrived last week via DHL...

Can you imagine the liability on those packages.

"the truck was carrying its cargo from Oklahoma City to Fort Worth when the accident happened"

At least this makes it sound like less of a problem for deliveries...unless you're waiting on something originating in OK.

Glad you received it. Last time I ordered from Dell (a laptop and 1.4X extender) it was dropped off on a porch of a neighbor 3 blocks away by DHL. Never rang MY door bell (or neighbors) or anything. I am just glad the neighbor looked me up in the phone book.

The time before that.. they left my Dell 24" LCD on my front step in the rain with the big blue DELL emblem facing the street. I had to rush home from my office to get it before it was either ruined or stolen.

Not a DHL/Airborne Express fan at all..

Just got my Imac today - 09-26-2007, 09:26 PM

Fedex delivered to my job this morning.

I orignially order a refurbished one from Apple but they ran out so they replaced it with a brand new one (same model as refurbished).

It had to be shipped from China or someplace overseas.

Glad I did not hear about the wreck before I got it, would have been worried sick.

FedEx and UPS do the SAME thing. I have had ALL of them do this crap. I have all of my shipments go to my studio because I know someone will be there to receive it and sign for it.

Alot depends on the driver too. I have had the same UPS, DHL and FedEx drivers for 3 years now. They know my truck and will just drive on past if no one is in the studio and come back the next day. If it is an overnight, they will call me and ask if I need it and work with me to get it.

Dell used to use Fedex for all their shipping 2 years ago. I remember I was waiting on a package, the doorbell rang and it was a fedex driver with a blue bandana on his head. Heck, I didn't know if I was receiving a package or going to get mugged....
They used to have signature required on the box but the computer I received last week was signed for by a neighbor.
I use Brown for all of my shipping and have no issues yet.
