Question What job??? - 09-27-2007, 04:25 AM

I know I haven't been very visible on here lately, but I need some opinions.

I have been out of a job for a month. I was doing sales, retail commission (with base pay) for last 5-6 years, recently car sales (which was good for a month, but tanked).

I tried taking on a home-based sales position for a credit processing system, and can still do that on the side, but it's not producing, and I can't seem to get up the dedication to make it work.

My dilemma is this: I have been offered two options. One is working with my younger brother, making $15/hr at a warehouse shipping servers on 2nd shift (3-12). The second is as a school photographer for Lifehouse (?? I think that's the name), which is full-time during school, could draw unem. benefits for summer (counts as a 2 mo. layoff), and full travel reimbursement for driving around the metroplex.

I would really like the experience from the photography job, but the other would provide more financial stability at a time when I am on the brink of complete financial failure (lose house, etc).

Let me know what ya'll think.... I value the opinions here, but will still ultimately have to make this my own decision.

Thanks,

Anthony

My advice is take the warehouse job. Get your finances in order, then you can look at other options. The other job might be more to your liking (it takes a special type person to be a good school photographer)but if it won't provide for your financial needs what good is it.Bob
