Exclamation Local TPFer on TV! - 10-01-2007, 09:07 AM

I took a break from processing photos and watched Biggo's last game. Sometime around the 7th or 8th inning the cameras are panning the crowd. All of a sudden I see mi amigo Marco Torres. He was chillin in center field at the 9 Amigos section.

Hey Sonny, You missed an awesome experience. It was really moving and the crowd was great! (so were the visiting Braves). One probably unnoticed move was when BGO made his last out and the last trip back to the dugout, the Braves pitcher removed his cap and stepped off the mound and stayed there (a very classy move IMO) until BGO came out for one of his many curtain calls. The whole night was very emotional and of course BGO delivered the thrills again. It was classic BGO from his 1st bat double to his last at bat when he turned a routine ground-out into a close play by running like a 20 year old kid. He went out just like he played the game (with everything he had to give) I believe every baseball fan in Houston will notice the absence of BGO every time they go to MMpark.
Thanks BGO and long live the memories !!!-Leon

[QUOTE=MarcoFromHouston]If anyone TIVO'ed the game, please post a screen shot! QUOTE]

Hey Marco. We were there also. My boss gave me their four season tix seats behind the 'Stros dugout, so we gave away the ones we had bought. We should have the game sitting on our Tivo. I forgot doublecheck it last night. I'll check it tonight and try to post a screen shot fer ya! 7th or 8th inning, eh? (The Fine Print: Of course chances of you actually receiving said screen shot depend solely upon the reliability of said Tivo. In other words, cross your fingers, rub your lucky rabbit's foot, say a little prayer and oh yeah, hope to heck the darn thing worked!)

Hope you guys don't mind me throwing Anthony in the mix, but I figure he's practically a TPFer in his own right. He's been to several GTG's & he was excited to see Marco on TV. You know us Moms, gotta tout our kids every chance we get!

Congrats Marco on your three seconds of fame! Leaves your account with a balance of 14:57.
