Question Exposure Manager problems - 10-01-2007, 02:35 PM

Have any other members using Exposure Manager experienced any problems over the last 2-3 weeks? It's been a smooth uneventful ride so far then all a sudden I've had a handful of problems.

I noticed taday an issue with a few thunmbnails missing. Other than that, I just uploaded over 400 images last night with no problems.

I use ExposureManager all the time. Last night I started getting e-mails from customers saying that they were getting prompted for passwords (in their private gallery) after every image that they viewed. Also, it looks like several of the thumbnails are borked. I tried regenerating the images for one of the galleries that was experiencing this problem. It took forever and nothing got fixed. Sent them a support request and they said,

"We're currently having a system issue that is preventing access to the system. The system administrators have been notified and are working to resolve the issue. We'll notify you when the issue has been resolved.
Thank you for your patience."

I just uploaded about 400-500 images from an event that I shot over the weekend. All I can say is that their problems better not cost me sales.

  • Last week I had 3 different Layout templates I use on my EM site "dissapear". I contacted support and they really didn't have an answer to why the templates went missing. I had to recreate each one from scratch.
  • Sunday morning I tried to log in but my password did not work. After 30 minutes for troubleshooting I had to use IE6 and delete all my cookies, cache, and temp files. Then I was able to log in and had to reset my password. Why you ask if I was already logged in? cause I still cloud not log in using Firefox or IE7.
  • Sunday when i ws ready to upload photos from a football game, I noticed many of my galleries were missing photos. The links still worked but the photos would not display. EM support responded by saying the problem should be resolved tomorrow. Although if I uploaded any photos that day they would all have to be re-uploaded. Photos older than that should be OK. As of now I'm still missing a ton of photos.

I will say this...their customer support is second to none!!!!! I can submit a ticket and within a few hours I get a response and 98.99999% of the time my problem or question is solved.

I tried them for a little while but there was lot about the interface that I didn't like so I moved on. I like their selling tools and I have NOT found anything that replaces that so for now, no dinero de mis cuadros. Hopefully zenfolio.com will get something going soon.
