Court judgements ? How to find out about a case. - 10-03-2007, 08:22 PM

If I need answers this place has been great to me. In a previous post I talked about a crazy nieghbor pulling a gun on my friend and I. Well since he has bonded out a week ago there has been nothing but trouble around here and needless to say my family and I are on pins and needles. Its way to much to discuss here and now, but I can say that I have had constant communication with the law about this and they have not had to many answers for me. It seems as though they just have to wait until something real bad happens before they can do anything about it.
What my main question is this , This nutjob has 2 felony charges he is going to court for this monday the 8th. Ironicly I had jury duty that day, but called in for a postponment for other reasons before I found out about his day in court. Would have loved to see his face when I showed up in the jury room, lol.. I know that most likely would have never happend. Again, sorry for dragging this out, but how can I find out what happens to him on monday the 8th ? Any help would be great.

AFAIK, court proceedings are for the most part available to the public, though there may be a fee for obtaining them.

Most of what I know about this comes from reading Groklaw. There's a "courts" link in the left navbar with some nice links from there, you might find something.

Thanks Dan, I will check that out. I remember the city I grew up in Worcester, MA had a court section in the paper that showed the daily court (criminal) results. If you screwed up everyone knew about it. There was no hiding from it.

As a PI, I do this junk all the time.

Merely go to the courthouse (you are in Tarrant County I believe, which is not online unfortunatly), and check his record with the clerk. Anyone can do this. You willneed his name and most likely his birthdate (unless his name is odd).

BTW: Tarrant's jail is online and you may be able to see his mugshot:
