Good luck with your team. When i got this lens for myself , I got buyer's remores as I was walking out if the store with it. But a day later when i shot my first football game and got home to see the shoots. That remorse was gone for good... So the best preventive way from buyer's remorse is go a shoot with that len ASAP... You will love it!!!!!!

I just shot my kid's soccer game with that lens and the 40D...awesome! Man, the 40D is fast! You will LOVE that lens. I was borrowing someone else's, but I so need that one. I would never have buyer's remorse with that lens. Good luck and enjoy it!

You will have no buyers remorse. It totally rocks for shooting racing. Sharp, crisp. Pans well. Sweet!

This is the greatest lens in the world next to a canon 300mm f2.8 or such. . It has never failed me.....

Thanks for the words of encouragement, I know I won't regret the purchase.

For those that are interested, I work at AF1 Racing and we sponsor and race with the Aprilia USA team in the Moto ST series. You can see our #5 and #6 bikes in 1st and 3rd place on the homepage at that link.

We do all the bike prep, tuning, pit work as well as budget contributions. As the points stand, we have the championship wrapped up going into the 8 hour endurance race at Daytona. You would think we could relax a little, but there are going to be several sponsors in attendance that we really have to impress for next season in the hopes of gaining notoriety.

That's where I come in. This will be my first pro race to photograph for our company and race team, so I really need everything to go as smoothly as possible. There is a lot of potential to come out of this.

So keep your fingers crossed...

You cannot go wrong with that lens! I love mine and use it all the time in a variety of settings. Have fun!

The remorse comes when you spend a bunch of money on a lens that sucks. You should be just fine.

I suppose I could find a way to free myself if you needed an extra (no talent) shooter, I do try to help the community.

Can you find a way to Daytona on Oct 20th and your own place to stay? Oh, and you have to come up with your own photo pass. But other than that, let's go!
