Yes it's true, I'm taking an online Defensive driving course (for speeding) and I sped through chapter 7 seven too fast.
If you would like slow death, torture and renewed hatred of computers then follow my lead
and take Defensive driving online.

Yes, it's the most absolutely boring thing ever. I've got a ticket and I'm suppose to do defensive driving soon as well. I don't want to waste a day on the weekend so I'm considering trying online defensive driving again.

It's almost worse than drivers ed though.

I have to take it before Oct. 24. . . and I have weddings every Saturday and other stuff going on, on Sundays. . . so I'll be taking it one night during the week at a local class. . . I figure I can at least take my homework that doesn't revolve around a computer and do that there. . . I'd never do it online again. . . that is absolutely the worst!!!

I did it online, a while ago when I ran out of time. It was such an experience that I have not gotten a ticket ever since! That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

I've done DD online, and just found a time when I was doing other non-critical stuff on the computer. I'd do one section, couldn't advance to the next because of the timer, and do something else (like some PP) for the other 10 minutes or whatever.

Yea I have taken it twice online, I never found it to be that bad, just obnoxious because of the timer.

I am confused. Did that made you a better driver, or do you contain your speeding to your brother's jurisdiction?

Comedy DD. It's the only way.

Done it twice, both were fairly amusing. The first was a woman who used to tour with Sam Kenison. That was a trip.

I deserved the speeding ticket however the officer was not inclined to shave any off the offending number. I was in my '72 GMC and where I really paid was my tags. A bad habit of mine was to toss the new sticker into the glove box and even if it took 3 or 4 months I eventually would attach it. Well I also got my 5 year refresher tags and had tossed them on the floor board for later installation. The officer aproached my window and took my info after mentioning my speeding. He did not say anything about my tags,my inspection sticker or my registration sticker all being expired so for a moment my spirits soared just a little as I had hoped he did not notice. Bottom line: $200.00 for inspection*, $120.00 for failure to display** and $200.00 for speeding (no contest option). And he could have nailed me for failure to display reg. sticker. No longer will I do any thing I can be fined for.
*I was able to reduce insp. fine to $14.50 with a valid new insp.
