Spent 6 years in the Navy, served during Desert Storm, and was in Hawaii when the 50th year anniversary of the end of WW II came to a close.

Got to meet Bob Hope (he was in bad shape then), Got to see things a poor boy from West Texas would have not otherwise scene, and got to see things I hope I never have to see again.

I've heard several times "you can take a man out of the Navy, but you cannot take the Navy out of a man." It's true. :)
