and say a quick prayer for Rene. He is the groom in the very first wedding I shot back in August. (you can see him and his beautiful bride Sasha here) I did it as a favor for my friend who is his cousin. Rene is only about 26 and has been dealing with inoperable brain cancer for a few years. Last year he had a massive stroke and so most of his right side is paralized.

The brides main request during the wedding was that I just get as many pics of them together as I could - since they know he only has a few years left. It was so sweet watching them get ready for the ceremony. She was already dressed in her gown and then went in to help him get ready. He can't do the simplest tasks like putting on socks, combing his hair, buttoning his shirt. She was so tender with him and he was beaming at her. It was very touching.

I just got an email from my friend that Rene went into surgery again today. They were going to try again to get some of the cancer out. But apparently the surgery isn't going well and they couldn't get to the tumor(s) because there was too much bleeding and a high risk of paralysis.
