I can't seem to give it up.
With all of the additional fees and all I end up paying $87.00 a month to watch TV.
I'm using Time Warner cable and I've looked at all of the alternatives and none are much cheaper.
By the way there is no point to this post.

check and see what else is available in your area...comcast was my only option for a while, but then ATT put Uverse in my area (they have their own share of problems as well)
what about Dish Network???

I canceled all my TV channels a bit over a year ago. I'm told I could plug an antenna in and get over the air channels, but we haven't bothered. Saved about $1200 so far. Have more free time.

Comcast has taken over local cable and did the expected--jack up prices. It doesn't help that they inherited a big debt from Time Warner for the Houston area cable franchise.
But there's so few options that are competitive (IMO). I wish Verizon would come here. :(

Collins,
what side of town are you on? I work for a homebuilder and Verizon is in almost all of South Houston (parts of SugarLand, Rosharon, League city, Dickinson, FIOS in Texas City)
I wish they were in NW Houston, but we are stuck with Comcast and ATT
Consolidated and Entouch in Katy seem to offer some good service as well...

Yeah, I'm inside the city limits near Sugar Land and Stafford. I know when I move into my home that a big factor will be places that fall in their service area!

I'll be there with shovel in hand. I am so fed up with Comcast. I have had nothing but problems with them since they took over Time Warner.

Man, ditto that big time! Comcast jacked prices up and service down-they suck.

i decided to go with WOODS CABLE. it is very inexpensive (a pair of rabbit ears at wally world) and it made me realize that even crappy tv is addictive and a waste of time.
