UPS and FEDEX - 10-30-2007, 11:23 AM

I am irritated. Why do they feel the need to leave things on the front porch? I just went out to take a little trash out as I heard the trash truck. I step outside and tripped all over my camera. Have no clue how long it has been there. I kept expecting it but up until now they have always come before like 4 pm. It shipped last Tuesday so I was expecting it last week. I didnt' have a tracking # though so is there a way to find out when they just "left" it on my doorstep?

I guess it depends on where you live. I get disgusted when they won't leave it.

Well I waited last week and was going to call today about it.
If it had been anything but my camera it wouldn't have bothered me. My neighborhood is safe. as we have gone off for a weekend and dh forgot to close the garage door with bowflex, motorcycle, car, craftsman tools etc... all exposed and keys inside house door that was unlocked for any and everyone. Luckily everything was there when we got back. But the fact that I am sure it was there atleast over night as noone came by this morning. If we used the front door it wouldn't be so bad, but usually we can go weeks without using the front door. Maybe I can have them leave it in the trailer or something next time.

In my experience they usually play ring and run. They also try to go to a residence after 5 because they'll get more folks at home. I work at home, so I want it delivered ASAP during the day. But it depends on the route.

I am waiting for a B&H delivery scheduled for tomorrow. Last time UPS was coming the online tracker said it was delivered, but it wasn't here. That was the second time they delivered it to the right house number, but missed me by two blocks.

It would be extremely inconvenient for me if they actually required a signature for everything, especially since the UPS guy seems to hit my neighborhood between 11 and 2. But I wonder who you ordered from that you didn't at least have a tracking number to know when it's delivered.

I've noticed that B&H and a few others are now requiring signatures for more expensive shipments, I had to drive over to the big UPS warehouse on I-45 to get my last lens shipped from B&H becuase they wouldn't leave it on the doorstep. So now for the expensive packages I'll use FedEx since the warehouse is much closer to my home.

I'm angry when they make me come pick it up. I'd much rather they leave it.

I work from 12pm-7pm monday-friday....

As you can imagine, they deliver around 5-6pm... but they never deliver after 7pm! So, I always get to drive an hour to the closest terminal/sort facility and pick it up. This is an inconvenience to me and sometimes requires me to take off from work. I really hate signature confirmation with a passion. I'd much rather take my chances with street thieves. With packages left on the doorstep, I've never had a package stolen.

I've never had a package stolen in the rare time they leave it, but one thing I know... I HATE taking my time to pick it up with a 30-60 minute drive to some random distribution center. That's what the cost of paying for package delivery is for, right?

Well my camera is equipped with a 1000 megasquirtle light sensitive array with a megakilo double widget interface and a pseudo-terrafilter. its got 2 million hexafurtles with a 10 kiloplex and a rechargeable virtual combo-backplate. i also fitted an optical fillyfangle with predictive threshold histogram monitoring. it also has a light sensitive light meter and a time sensitive shutter mechanism.

I get that it is a hassle to "pick" up the item I just call them usually or did in Va and told them "when" to deliver it.
As for here though I am usually home.

More interested in the repair. Have you had a chance to check it out? Is the problem you sent it in for corrected?
