Wonderful essay by McMurtry on Keaton's photography and her work to save forgotten photographers' work. I'm look forward to her book on Fort Worth photographer, Bill Wood, Bill Wood's Business.

Nice writing, all the quotes are great. I especially like:
"Permanence can only be found in the immortality promised by the results of the click of a camera. Like it or not, life moves on as quickly as the photograph doesn't."
And the end of the article:
"Maybe it's time to recognize that, like the Clown, we've all gone for the laugh, sold out on occasion, dressed for effect, and paraded our hearts on our sleeves."

It was fascinating reading. I applaud her efforts. I'm sure there are millions of us photographers that our work is destined to net be seen let alone heard. Thanks for sharing.
