Isn't it? I mean it's been like a zillion eons since the last one (that I missed). How about an advanced lighting class or something???

I'm game for the advanced lighting workshop, possibly in January. Let's see who's interested here. What say y'all???!

I'm giving this a bump. I've had several requests for an advanced technical/lighting workshop, which I would likely schedule sometime in January. I think we could easily fill a full day with several projects. Depending on sponsor involvement the price would be around $250. I'd prefer to do it on a Monday, but I'm guessing more folks would be available for a Sunday class. If you're interested in this workshop please give me your input here. You will have a much better understanding of this workshop if you know f-stop, shutter speed, and ISO and are able to work with manual settings.

I'm also wondering if there's a call for a mini workshop for those who want to learn f-stop, shutter speed, and ISO... how the three work together, and when to chose what combination and why. If you're interested please let me know, either here or in a PM.

Hope you're all taking advantage of this beautiful autumn in Texas!

I am new around here and not very experienced with photography yet, so the advance lighting workshop sounds WAY out of my league, but I would LOVE to attend a mini- session. I can only understand so much from books!

Monday is preferable, but I can go with a Sunday ... $250 is in my price range or I can barter some framed photos of bluebonnets ...

You know that MLK day is on a Monday in January and many people have that day off ...

Dawn, if there's enough interest I'll try to schedule an evening workshop to help those who need to learn the basics. It's an important place to start if you're truly interested in understanding and controlling exposure.

Best day noted Edd. And if I had any free wall space I might take you up on your barter offer, but as you can imagine... I don't! :-)

Hi Fran! I might be interested in attending the advanced lighting one. I'm available most days, but Monday's would probably work best. Just need to make sure the grandparents can watch the rugrat. I'll try to keep my eye out for this.

Hi Fran,

I would be interested in both workshops. Sundays work best, but MLK day would be a Monday that will work for me. For the mini workshop any evening is fine.

Thanks!
Shelley

Thanks for the input folks. Shelley, if you think you'd be interested in both I might suggest the mini before the advanced. My two day might even be a good step in between. I'm still needing more input before I get planning.

If you had seen these photos, you would create some wall space or even a new wall!

I would be interested in the mini workshop also. New here and fairly new to photography, so I could use some help.

I'd be interested in both the mini and the full day...I am assuming this is in Dallas, right? I could only do a Sat/Sun or Fri/Sat since I'm in Sugar Land and have two little ones during the week.

Frisco is about 30 miles north of Dallas.
