There are the concepts of self-restraint and delayed gratification.

So...cancel your subscription. Not only will you not be tempted, you'll save the subscription price. It is and expensive magazine, you know!

the best things in life are free --- and it is one of the best free subscriptions i have -- but those little surprises get you sometimes -- i'm just going to read it from the back cover first from now on

Man, i must have got my copy of the issue a month ago, so i know what you're feeling. Give it some time and the urge will pass, until you figure out what other toy you want, then you'll pick up the buyers guide and start drooling all over again.

I get it for free, which I love but I kind of lose respect for a magazine that does a "shopping guide" - which honestly looks like print real estate, sold to which ever company to vend its wares.

I'd like the guide to be reviews and comparisons, not just a flashy picture, and a description (which only gives pro's, no cons.) Other than the buying guide, RF is a great magazine.

If you haven't already, take advantage of the other freebie, After Capture. It's not bad as well.

Must be a short guide since there's only one new rangefinder to buy, the M8.
