MTV dancers 1981 - 11-09-2007, 03:37 PM

Does anyone out there remember when MTV first came out and they did not have enough videos to fill up the time slots so they would show these women doing some kind of aerobics for about twenty minutes straight. I searched for info on it but could not find anything and everyone I have mentioned it to lately says they do not remember it. Just looking for some kind of verification that I remember that correctly and not going crazy.

Ha Ha...... Yep, you definitely remember. The boyfriend comment made me laugh. I remember they would be exercising then one of them would look straight into the camera for a couple of seconds. Sure did hate to see those ladies leave the program.

What was weird about it, was there was'nt much to it, or what they were doing but it was like I could'nt quit watching them. What they were doing was real repetitive. It was like "Okay, I have watched this for ten minutes now. I need to get up and do something else" but I couldnt.

Hahaha, yep, you are a guy! LOL! Yeah, and they did some pretty erotic angles and such with the filming. I think all the guys were glued to the tv during those 20 min.

I worked in TV in those days and those videos were quite popular around the TV stations I worked at.

We ever produced a workout show back then.
However they were not the same as Aerobicise...

I don't remember it on MTV. I remember it on Showtime in between movies. I till remember the famous quote "Don't forget to breathe out"

I remember it on SHowtime too (funky light also), but not MTV. I thought at the beginning they just kept replaying the same dozen vids over and over.
