In my excitement into the whole DSLR pond, I forgot to look through the whole box when I bought my D80. Let me explain...
Ever since I bought my camera at the start of this year, I've been shooting pics none stop. Then I learned about flares, and direct sunlight pics, etc. and I wished to have a lens hood... but never got around to buying one because I knew other lenses were coming. My first upgrade was the 50mm f/1.4 and recently the Sigma 18-200mm OS (which came w/ a lens hood) to replace the walk around 18-135mm that came w/ the camera and 3 filters.
Today, I was looking through the box of the D80 and guess what I found? A lens bag and the hood I was eyeing for the 18-135 before the lens got replaced. So now, the hood is on the lens and the lens in the bag, sitting on a shelf not to be used too often because of the Sigma (which I love so far).
So now I feel like a doofus and looking at my pictures and wondering which ones would've been better because of the hood. Not that too many pictures are affected, but you never know.
