I shoot action shots for a Select youth Football league here in Houston. I must say that it has been fun all season.
A couple of weeks ago my sons team played against a team and I posted the game pictures. Well what do you know the QB for the opposing team had been removed from our squad last year. So his Dad after seeing my pictures threatens me with a butt kicking and lawyers and suits and so on.
The league stepped in and shut him down. Every parents signs a photo waiver as part of the registration process.
So we play and lose to this team again this weekend in the championship game. As I process the game pictures I make a note not to include this kids in any shots. The shots he was in I blurred slightly so he was not recognizable (reasonable when shooting at 2.8)- Trying not to have to listen to his dad threaten me again.
So just a half hour ago I get an email complaining that there were no recognizable pictures of this guys son posted on my site??? And he pretty much demands that I put some up.
So I respond nicely that I do have some great shots of his boy and that I did not chose to post them because I wanted to avoid further issues and doubted that they would sell anyways- with him hating me and all!
He came back with yes he wants to buy some pictures of his kid.
I can't win!
I have a heavy workload and won't be able to get to this for a couple of days. I wonder if I should even make the effort?
Rant complete.
