Astros trade Josh Anderson for Oscar Villarreal.

When will the Astros learn? Although Villarreal is only 26 years old, Houston needs all the offense it can get. And I thought J. Anderson could of provided that. But what do I know?!?!

Instead they choose to invest their time and resources in Michael Bourn, Yordany Ramirez and Reggie Abercrombie. I'll admit I do not know squat about the aforementioned players.

Who knows...hopefully they'll prove me wrong, I hope! Either way I'll stay a die hard fan til I die.

I to know squat about most of the players... but am glad that there are others that would describe themselves as die-hard fans...

I've been to too many games in the past where the "astro's fans" booed them... Even if the team / person needs a good "OMG what the heck where you doing, and Please thank you Jesus that you are going to get off the field..."... you don't do it at the game. That's what the talk shows are for the next day : )

I still have to put up with my cub loving wife and her "Cub's fans don't do that... even after all of these years... blah blah blah"... hehehe... good thing she doesn't read this forum.

Sonny, to my way of thinking, the biggest drawback to the Astros is their personnel management. I couldn't believe the "major" trade of last summer(and I don't mean the Lee acquisition) and now I can't believe they have gotten rid of Josh Anderson. It sometimes seems if you are a young fast good ballplayer and can prove it you will be traded or at best sent to the minors. Maybe that will change with the new management faces. (we'll see) I go to spring training almost every year and you can really see young ballplayers put out their best performance. Then during the regular season you wonder why those players are still down(in the minors) while the usual performance of the usual starters leaves you cold. But I also go to a lot of Hooks and Express games and they are a lot of fun. Hang in there Sonny, we will survive! Heck we might even get a 2, 3 & 4 starting pitcher before the season starts, who knows.

Graydon , glad to see you are a "die hard" also (we are a strange breed aren't we{sort of masachistic-sp?-sometimes}). As far the booing I don't boo the players unless I feel they are not trying their best. And most of the regular good players know it is for bad performance and not personal. After all, it is the management that is responible for they being there & they are only doing their best(most of the time). Also note the love BGO received from the fans as he met his goals and played his last game-it was tremendous!
Yet I remember some boos he got also based on lack of performance in some situations.
Cub fans don't boo?? lol I must have been in Wriggly on some halloween days.(I'm originally from Illinois and loved the Cubbies.(Many ,moons ago-no I won't say how long ago.LOL

I've got a crying towel and I want the damn thing to stay dry for this coming season as it was water soaked most of last season. GO ASTROS!!!!!
