Is the catwalk the subject or the vantage point?

the models were the subject. In a "club" with black walls, black ceiling and REALLLLLLY low lighting.
Tomorrow is supposed to be 100 times better. The owner was happy with what she saw in camera I am not cause of Shadows, and wants me to try again tomorrow in a hotel. So wish me luck.

Are you using any sort of diffuser ? A simple StoFen would help cut the shadows a lot. Your camera will adjust the exposure to compensate.

yes I used the flip it so they were a lot less than they could have been. And I dialed the flash down pretty good too.
Thanks :D

Shadows are not just from your flash - be on the lookout for how the room lights hit the models. If possible, have someone "step through" the catwalk in advance while you shoot so you can "see" these things. Then mentally mark safe zones!
