Adobe gamma

i dunno how to use it, my pic's dont print like they look on my monitor, and i wanna calibrate my computer

Forget about adobe gamma. Take the following steps.

Step one get a Hardware Calibrator to calibrate your monitor.

Step two get a copy of "Real World Color Mangement" and learn what's required to do good color mangement.

Step three get a copy of "Color Management for Photographers" and learn what Photoshop likes.

Step four, keep studying steps 2-3 until you have an understanding of what color is and how to mange it.

This question should have been put in the Post Processing forum where it belongs.

Oh and Patty I got a calibrator at B&H the other day. They price matched it for me.
It was the Eye One Display 2.

I definitely second this book. It's a very good resource (although it could have been proofread better).
