Mr. Donald Dell. I was wondering why you can't send it to Dell to get fixed.

Where the hell did I come up with Donald Dell ?
I think it's an ongoing problem due to some sort of zebra snot sydrome.

Michael Dell is the CEO and founder of Dell Computers.

I had the same problem with my PC and the same attempts at repair. That's why I'm typing this on a MAC. That's another story. Although the Computer repair place couldn't figure it all out, it seemed to correspond to my upgrade to the latest version of Internet Explorer. A guy on the radio was talking about the same problem and when he talked to Microsoft, the tech said that he doesn't upgrade any Microsoft product until it's been out for a year or so so that they can get all the kinks worked out of it! And he works for Microsoft!!!

Anyway, I switched back to the old version of IE and that solved my problem.

I gave up on Dell after Windows ME. I refuse to order from them. I just build my own - well excluding Laptops. (I love my HP.)

It's karma, David. We all know that, just admit it. Isn't it true that you have thoughtlessly deleted pixel after pixel over the years without even considering where the pixels were going? You knew they weren't going to a good place place, right? You don't think that the rest of the hard drive doesn't see that it's just a matter of time before you go after them? Mass Hard Drive Suicide(MHDS) is happening more and more frequently. I hope you are pleased with yourself.

Probably a peripheral problem (ie, wifi card or bluetooth) or if you happen to have a docking station...that could contribute.

We have had great luck with Dell laptops (probably 8 or so in my family)..

That said, I just finished using my wife's Dell laptop (fairly new... about 6months old) and I couldn't wait to get back to my Macbook Pro. NOT BECAUSE OF THE OS. I just like the hardware quite a bit.
