Ok so given the choices listed .. where would you go for 3 days and 2 nights. Wife and I are wanting to travel this Xmas but can't decide where. Of the 4 I've lived in San Diego for a few years, spent a few days in NYC and Vegas, and passed through DC, Brandy has never been to any of them.

We've been to Washington, DC and thought it was ok. My wife and I loved NYC when we visited but that was during the summer. Doesn't it get wicked cold (I'm thinking naval boot camp Great Lakes, IL cold) out there by this time of the year though? If cold is not a big thing to your wife, there is a lot of places to see there. If it is, go Vegas. Lots to see/photograph there too.

Vegas will give you the most fun all around. I used to live outside DC in Annapolis and there's alot to see in the area, but it's not a wintery visit kind of place (unless you wanna see some snow which it's doing right now). NYC will be kinda the same, just not with the whole historic/nation's capital kinda thing to it. Everyone should visit DC at some point, at least for the monuments and the Smithsonians (the Udvar Hazy is awesome!).

I'd still go for Vegas tho just because you'll probably have the most amount of fun there. :)

I just got back from a trip to NYC and it's really a fabulous place to visit. The big tree will be lit now too. I voted NYC but my second vote goes to Vegas. Vegas is the type of place where 3 days is just right. 2 days isn't enough and 4 days is getting to be too much.

None of the above, I would go for a Cabin close to the Smokie Mountains and go to Dollywood.

I've spent Christmas in Manhatten twice and loved it both times. Very exciting holiday atmosphere and lots to see and do. That is saying a lot from a guy who loves being in the boonies away from people.

I voted for NYC. I would love to go there during the Xmas holidays. Would be so beautiful! But, a cabin in the mountains would be even more awesome!
