Just had my almost annual eye exam today and was offered a new technology lens -
iZon.
Once you get past the "high definition" marketing hype, it sounds pretty promising: electronic mapping of the eye and creating a set of lenses based on the results.
On the one hand, it seems like the scan technology must have finally gotten to the point where it would be more accurate than the typical lens #1 or lens #2... lens #1 or lens #2 exam? At the same time, the prescription results were a bit different between the scan and the eye doc's numbers. The salesperson said that this was expected - a type of response that always raises a red flag for me.
Soooo.... anyone on the forum have the iZon lenses?
