Question Texas Stadium and camera - 12-14-2007, 09:08 AM

My daughter picked up some tickets for the Cowboys game Sunday...it'll be my first pro football game. Noticed they don't allow zoom cameras, so I'll leave my D50 at home. Do you think I will have any problems taking in my Fuji s5000. It's relatively small, but does have a 10x zoom. Thanks for any help...Mark O

I think you'll be fine. I believe it is the lens length (physical) that causes the most problems. Go to the website and look up their stated rules. I know I see point and shoots (and many dSLRs) when I have been there.

Have fun and don't get too caught up in taking pics... Enjoy the game!

Thanks Andrew....I don't plan on taking many pics of the game. More or less a 'Been there done that' type documentation...like vacation shots. Now some close up shots of the cheerleaders would be nice. Guess it's a good thing I can't take my tripod and Bigma, then I would see the game thru the view finder.

Get a 300mm prime lens then, and you should be set. Right?

That would be following the "no zoom cameras" rule. You zoom with your feet!

Well my camera is equipped with a 1000 megasquirtle light sensitive array with a megakilo double widget interface and a pseudo-terrafilter. its got 2 million hexafurtles with a 10 kiloplex and a rechargeable virtual combo-backplate. i also fitted an optical fillyfangle with predictive threshold histogram monitoring. it also has a light sensitive light meter and a time sensitive shutter mechanism.
