Oh man

This will be a huge gamble if Ed Wade is able to sign Mark Prior. Houston is desperate enough (in the starting pitching department) to take that risk.

I guess desperation can be a motivator, and it wouldn't be the first time we went after the walking wounded. He was great when he was healthy and no one knows if he will get there again even if he is healthy. That is the main problem with pitching, from one year to the next big changes in performance can happen with or without injury. Like I said before Sonny, "spring training this year will be like no other, I can't wait" !! Gotta hope for the best.

sign him to a one year deal with an option for a second. Low base salary and huge incentives to be safe.

While I'm certainly excited about the upcoming season, I don't want to see the 'Stros gut the team completely. I'll never forgive Ed Wade if they trade away Berkman, Pence or Oswalt. I wonder if Woody Williams is worth the $6mil? He didn't seem to be much use last season.
