IDEAS? Why it won't read... - 12-19-2007, 11:21 AM

Ok, just gathering possible ideas on why this happened...

Burned a DVD for a fellow photographer of some work they did at a wedding of mine. DVD has all the RAW images on it. Reads on ANY computer I put it in...EXCEPT for the fellow photographers computer!

When she put it in her computer, (PC) and went to Explore, the DVD shows no contents.

Anyone have any ideas?

How old is the DVD reader? What kind of DVD? -R, +R, -RW, +RW?

Depends on her DVD drive. Also, make sure she has a DVD drive.

Had a user trying to install software and didn't realize that the program came on a DVD and not a CD.

Oh, I am sure it is a computer problem...BUT she read them once and then one of her IT Friends came over and did some work and "fixed" her computer and now all those images are gone from her computer and the computer won't read the DVD.

So I have eliminated the DVD + -R etc. and it is a DVD Drive.

CJ

PS: Have NO idea what the IT Friend did at all...
