I need a DFW business lawyer - 12-22-2007, 11:28 PM

I don't know if you followed my previous thread about my mediation but it got postponed. In the past few days I have given it a lot of thought and know now I really need a lawyer. Here is the thread that I posted earlier, it explains what is going on between myself & my business partner. I have decided that the only outcome I can live with is to be bought out and I want whats owed to me. I have finaly figured out that he can not be trusted and I am afraid that without a business lawyer I will end up on the short end of the stick! Anyone have a friend or family member in this business ?

Know a couple of lawyers, I can probably talk my buddy into giving you 15 min of free advice on the phone if it helps...

Chris - if you want to be bought out, you will need someone to do a valuation of your interest in the company. I suggest you find a lawyer that has transaction experience and has worked with valuation analysts. A person that is a CPA is not necessarily qualified to perform valuations unless they have also earned a valuation credential.
