Ipod question

DS#1 got one last year. We downloaded the software that came with it on dhs computer, now dead. Can't find the software, DS#2 and DD got one for Christmas but no software says to download from the website. I have been downloading fro an hour. it is at 2 % is there any other way to get the music to the ipod? I have it all on my computer just need to get it to the ipod.
So tell me if there is anything else I can do.

What is "DS", and DHS"?

Honestly, I thought that the only thing you needed to put music on an iPod is iTunes. Have you installed that, or is that the software that you are referring to?

itunes from the apple site is all you need....(unless you are using Vista 64bit...)

yes I tunes is what I am trying to download.
It is only at 4% now

and dd is daughter

The music should transfer pretty quick - unless you are transferring a ton of stuff. My syncs don't last more than a minute for 5 songs. I have had issues with it getting hung up if something huge is running with it - like Bridge or something. But, no you do not need any other software.

iTunes should download pretty quickly. You might try dumping your browser cache, history, and cookies, closing it, rebooting your computer and try the download again.

ok thanks I have rebooted computer etc...
only thing open is this window and the download box. This is like the 5th time trying to download the software. Like I said the songs are already there.
We didn't have these issues with #1s

OK I got them can yall tell me how I can sell just certain ones as DS is only into rock and doesn't want any country on it lol. I just told DDs to sync and that added them but DS will have a cow if he has all of those country songs lol

During or before synching the iPod, uncheck any songs you do not want uploaded. This will cause those to be skipped over during the upload process.
