Picture A Day: 2008

We've done November 2007 and http://www.texasphotoforum.com/forum...ad.php?t=62510, now let's try the year 2008!

Rules are simple:
1) Take a picture every day of the year.
2) Post that picture that day (or as soon as you can -try to aim for within 24 hours)
3) If you miss a day, don't fret, just jump back in.
4) If you joined late - no problem - start anytime!

That's it.
The images can be creative, normal, whatever. See the previous threads above for what some have done.

If we get enough people to do this, we can have the longest thread here, the most popular, and the one with the most pics!

We had a small New Years Party last night, and I set up a small "studio" (at the behest of my wife) to take fun pics of party guests.
Before I take it down, I decided to grab a pic tonight.The umbrella at the left is a reflector (silver with gold foil inserts) using a slave flash bulb.
The umbrella at right is a white pass through using the flash cord connected to the camera, dialed to about 3/8ths power.
Not shown is a shoe flash set to slave that has a Fong Dong on it with gold foil insert, placed on the floor at the base of the left (reflector) stand (used to fill in shadows under chins, brows, etc.)

my daughter grabbed my camera this afternoon and informed me that she wants to be a photographer and started taking pictures around the house. This is one of the ones she took.




yes, we still have our Christmas stuff up, we're taking it down after the man gets back (partly because I scratched myself all over putting the tree up and he can scratch himself taking it down).
