Oh Heck, last night I got the NEWS. Lupe is pregnant with child #3. This was NOT planned. I'm 45, I'm too old for this. But I held her, and said words of love and comfort, patted her tummy, and could not sleep for the rest of the night. I just hope the baby is healthy (Lupe's 43), and I would prefer another girl.
Miranda Elizabeth would be nice to go with my Victoria Anne, and Sarah Michelle.

Wow, congrats! Your wife and baby's health will be in our prayers. Hey, BTW, can you send some of your magic my way, the wife and I have been trying to no avail yet.
Hmmm, now that I read that 3rd line, it seems a little creepy and messy.

You need a son! Someone to mow the lawn and all that...
Congrats though.

Wow. Congrats and best of luck to you both!
There must be something in the water... we got a call from my brother-in-law last night (my wife's brother) - he and his wife are expecting (due in March)... their best friends are expecting in March as well.. and 2 other family friends of my in-laws have kids that are expecting...
Hey, evil4blue, you might want to look into a device called the Ovulite. It's a nifty little device that can tell you when your wife is ovulating. It worked for me and my wife in the first month as well as for her brother and his wife in the first month!
You can find out more about it here: http://www.ovulite.com/
It's about $40 and I found mine at one of the local drug stores... and it's really easy to use.

congrats and I agree with the idea of wanting a boy, especially in these Houston summers for that back yard mowing....
Either way, as you said hoping for a healthy baby is the priority so keep us updated on the progress..... | | | |

Congrats! I'm sure it came as a shock, but being older and having a baby has lots of advantages, too. My kids (8 & 10) have a ton of friends whose parents are near or in their 50's. In fact, out of every single one of my kids' friends, we are the youngest parents. Being in my mid 30's and having two kids is quite uncommon in our group and I am the one always feeling out of place. My oldest son's best friend's dad is actually older than my father. I'm always being told I'm too young to have 2 kids.
Just remember, being 43 and having a baby is not at all uncommon now. The chances of having a happy, healthy pregnancy are overwhelmingly good. Having such a supportive husband always helps too!
Keep us posted and good luck!! :D

Congratulations! Three is a good number - I have three myself :)
I will pray that there won't be any problems during pregnancy and that you will have another healthy baby :D
By the way, the name you picked is really sweet, but I also have to agree that you need a boy for the lawn-mowing

Thanks all, I am still in a state of shock, but what can I do? Lupe does not want to tell the girls till September, and I am all for telling them now. I do not look forward to diapers again, and two o'clock feedings.

Congrats...and good luck Murph...
2 o'clock feedings are not the ideal thing, but are an unfortunate MUST with a newborn. I sincerly hope everything works out and you have a healthy baby!
Cheers! | | | |

Congratulations!!
And I don't know what ya'll are grumbling about. The 2 am feedings are the BEST bonding time!! No tv, no one else to talk to, no other siblings wanting attention...just you and the baby looking into each other's eyes, holding your finger......
NOT that I want another!!!!! :)

You know on those diapers, when it says "Holds 12 pounds" they aren't kidding! The first one I ever changed, I thought I was going to faint. After the first couple of hundred, they get "easy".
