If its a rebate of tax already paid, then it probably would not be taxable income. If its a gift, then its also not taxable. Of course, there might be a provision in the package which defines it as taxable. I haven't heard anything about this before, one way or the other.

Well it looks like the stimulus package is going to work. It will give us an excuse to spend the money and maybe more. Spending money is what makes our economy work.

I'm going to get . . .out of debt! Well, mostly. We'll still have the car and house loans, but other than that, between my husband's bonus, this year's refund, plus this rebate, we should have absolutely no credit card debt!
